Educational Opportunies

 

Are you interested in obtaining your Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)? Your local ISM chapter offers CPSM exam preparation courses throughout the year. Please contact ISM Wichita at ismwichita@gmail.com for more information.  Instructional classes will be provided periodically based on requested need.

Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®)

Certifies that you have key knowledge and skills in areas such as finance, supplier relationship management, organization global strategy and risk compliance and that you are a leader in the supply chain management profession.

 

The criteria for earning the CPSM qualification are:

* Three years of full time, professional supply management experience - non clerical, non support.

* Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or international equivalent.

* Pass all three Exams, OR if you are a C.P.M. in good standing, pass the Bridge Exam.

 

 

 

The criteria for earning the CPSM™ designation:

  •  Three years of full-time, professional supply management experience (nonclerical, nonsupport) with a bachelor's degree from regionally accredited institution or international equivalent

- OR -

  • ​Five years of full-time, professional supply management experience (nonclerical, nonsupport) without a qualified bachelor's degree

- AND

Successfully pass three CPSM™ Exams OR if you are a C.P.M. in good standing, pass the Bridge Exam (test centers located in more than 230 locations)

Are You a C.P.M.?
Certified Purchasing Managers (C.P.M.s) in good standing with a bachelor's degree only need to take one Bridge Exam. The CPSM™ Bridge Exam is a single exam covering content not included in the current C.P.M. Exams. The CPSM™ Study Guide identifies material not covered in the C.P.M. Exam so you’ll know what to study.

Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity® (CPSD®)

Demonstrate to your employer, colleagues, customers and suppliers that you understand and speak the language of purchasing and supply chain. The CPSD™ communicates the understanding of procurement and the entire supply chain, not just supplier diversity.

The criteria for earning the CPSD designation:

 

  • Successfully pass the CPSD™ Exam.

  • Successfully pass Exam 1 of the Certified Professional in Supply Management®(CPSM®). This requirement is waived if the candidate holds a current C.P.M. or CPSM.

  • Minimum of five years professional (non-clerical, non-support) supplier diversity or supply management experience (does not need to be primary function), OR three years of professional (non-clerical, non-support) supplier diversity or supply management experience IF the candidate has a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or international equivalent).

Continuing Education Hours (CEH) Opportunities

Attending ISM Wichita Monthly Meetings fulfills 1 Continuing Education Hour of your requirements.

Meetings are held September though May of each year. Join your fellow supply chain and supply chain related peers for socializing, networking, and training opportunities while  meeting your certification requirements. Check the Events tab for upcoming meeting locations and training opportunities.
